Some artists prefer to take payments via bank transfer rather than through Stripe. There are no processing fees, but it does involve a little more manual process.
How it works 🔄
Your client still receives a personal link as normal. Instead of an online checkout, they're shown your bank details and asked to make the transfer themselves.
Once they've sent the money, they tap Mark as paid in the link. This notifies you that the transfer is on its way, and the appointment moves into a pending state while you wait for it to land in your account.
Once you've confirmed the money has arrived, you mark the appointment as paid within the app and the booking is confirmed.
Setting up your bank details 🏦
Before you can accept bank transfers, you'll need to add your bank details in the app.
You can do this from Settings → Payments → Payment methods
Things to consider ⚠️
No processing fees - you receive the full amount your client sends.
You're in control - you confirm the payment before the appointment is marked as complete.
No automatic verification unlike Stripe. Get Ink can't confirm the transfer has actually landed, so it's on you to check your account.
No payment protection. There's no fraud protection, dispute handling or easy refunds.
Client experience. Some clients find card payments quicker and more familiar, especially with payment methods like Apple Pay etc.
📌 Key things to remember:
Your client still gets a payment link, they're just shown your bank details instead of a card checkout.
Don't mark the appointment as paid until the money has actually cleared in your account.
Get Ink can't verify the transfer, that step is always down to you.
